President Joe Biden made a brief stop in Michigan Tuesday to address striking UAW members before continuing onto fundraisers.
Biden descended a short flight of stairs on Air Force One, foregoing the tradition long set at the center of the plane. Even fewer stairs couldn’t prevent him from slipping. Watch:

Biden then made his way to the picket line outside a General Motors parts distribution center in Belleville, where he grabbed a bullhorn and spoke to the striking workers for just 53 seconds:
BREAKING!

Biden struggled to keep union Boss Shawn Fain’s attention, despite the brief remarks. Fain could be seen looking at his phone while the president spoke.

In Wayne, Biden spoke for just 19 seconds. Fain handed him the bullhorn and stepped down from a short podium. Biden declined the step up, instead addressing picketers from the ground.
