A Biden administration spokesman suffered an awkward moment when he misgendered a high-profile Democrat in Congress.
John Kirby, the United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, was on CNN and asked to respond to Rep. Cori Bush, who claimed Israel was engaging in an “ethnic cleansing campaign”.
"Rep. Cori Bush tweeted that Israel was conducting an 'ethnic cleansing campaign' … What's the administration's argument to this Democrat about why I'm sure you believe she's wrong?"

“What’s the administration’s argument to this Democrat about why I’m sure you believe she’s wrong?” host Dana bash asked after referring to Bush as “congresswoman.”
“The congressman can speak for himself and his views,” Kirby replied.
In Bush’s original statement, she also said, “The U.S. must stop funding these atrocities against Palestinians.”
We can’t be silent about Israel’s ethnic cleansing campaign.
Babies, dead.
Pregnant women, dead.
Elderly, dead.
Generations of families, dead.Millions of people in Gaza with nowhere to go being slaughtered.
The U.S. must stop funding these atrocities against Palestinians. https://t.co/IlhoZvDD3P
