In her Sunday appearance on CNN, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer spent a lot of airtime lambasting former President Donald Trump.

When the topic of Hunter Biden’s ongoing trial on three felony gun charges was raised, however, the co-chair of President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, suddenly went silent. Whitmer acted as if she could not hear the questions posed by CNN’s Dana Bash, resulting in the host of the network’s “State of the Union” program cutting to a commercial break.

“Right now, we know, in this country, there is a stark choice in front of us between a president who respects the rule of law and a former president who is a convicted felon who wants to use the implements of government to go after his enemies and is running on vengeance and grievance as his platform,” Whitmer said prior to the alleged technical glitch.

It’s not the first time Whitmer was able to duck a tough question because of a so-called sound issue.

In the days leading up to the 2022 election, Whitmer was interviewed on Detroit’s Fox 2. The morning hosts asked the governor if she had “any regrets” over her handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m sorry, I,” she responds, before whispering, “Awww, s*it,” as she fumbles with her ear piece.

“Did I do that when I touched the ear thing?” she asked. “It started to fall out.”

The anchors then announce they’ll come back to Whitmer later.

It’s not the first time Gretchen Whitmer has mysteriously had “technical issues” to avoid answering tough questions.

Whitmer’s appearance was preceded by South Dakota’s Republican Gov. Kristi Noem.

“His message has clearly been that his only vengeance will be America’s success,” Noem told Bash. “He’s not interested in going after political opponents,” Noem said. “He’s interested in going back to the White House and working for the American people and their families, bringing down inflation, costs.”
