Former President Donald Trump stopped at the Trump Force 47 campaign office in Roseville this week to deliver pizzas to volunteers and discuss growing support for electing him to a second term.

“We were in the neighborhood, we were talking to the National Guard, it was great, it was really fantastic,” Trump told his supporters in a video of the stop posted to Facebook. “We had a great race in 2016, but we did much better in 2020 … millions and millions more votes.

“I will say they were both great, but there is more enthusiasm now than there was then, wouldn’t you say?” Trump said to roaring cheers.

The stop followed Trump’s appearance at the National Guard Association of the United States’ 146th General Conference at Huntington Place in Detroit on Monday. Both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris were invited to the event, but only Trump bothered to attend to show support for the soldiers.

Trump was introduced at the conference by Kid Rock, and endorsed by former Democratic U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, of Hawaii, who has served 17 years in the Hawaii Army National Guard.

“When I’m back in the White House I’ll get you the support, funding, training, and equipment you need,” Trump told the conference. “And I will get you the pay raises that you really deserve.”

“For me personally, his message was a message of encouragement for the military forces and their families,” Puerto Rico National Guard member Hector Ocasio told WXYZ.

Gabbard’s endorsement came just days after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspended his independent campaign for president to back Trump in November.

In Macomb County, supporters lined up outside the Trump Force 47 campaign center, where they waived flags and cheered to greet the 45th POTUS. Inside, volunteers chanted “Trump” and eagerly recorded videos and photos as Trump delivered Green Lantern Pizza from Detroit to thanks his supporters, MLive reports.

“We love you all,” he said.

Trump spoke briefly about missteps by the Biden administration over the last four years, and how he plans to correct course to boost respect for the USA on the world stage.

“We are going to do something that I think will be just unbelievable,” Trump said, standing alongside Gabbard, U.S. Reps. John James and Lisa McClain, and others.

“Right now we are a laughing stock all over the world,” he said, pointing to crushing inflation, the Biden administration’s bungled exit from Afghanistan, a war in Ukraine, and Hamas attack on Israel, all of which “would never have happened” if he was in the White House, Trump said.

“And she’s worse than Biden,” Trump said, referring to Vice President Kamala Harris, who took over Biden’s campaign. “Kamala, I call her Comrade Kamala, she is a total Marxist. Her father is a Marxist professor – he taught her well.”

Trump also focused in on the importance of the U.S. auto industry, highlighting how the election will have a huge impact on Detroit’s Big Three.

“The auto makers and the auto workers, you can forget the auto industry if we don’t win,” Trump said. “We going to bring tremendous amounts of plants in. We’re going to bring them in because we’re going to do it with tariffs, it’s so simple.

“They’re building now two of the largest plants in the world in Mexico,” he said. “China owns them and they think they’re going to make cars and they’re going to sell them into the United States, and … we’re not going to let them do it. They’re going to take all our jobs.”

“Four years ago, this would have never have happened,” Trump said.

The former POTUS blamed UAW President Shawn Fain for selling members “down the tubes” with an endorsement for “Sleepy Joe” that has since moved to Harris.

“I just saw a poll and we have 88% of the autoworkers,” Trump said, “and he endorsed Sleepy Joe or Crooked Joe, I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.”

“We’re going to make America greater than ever before,” he said.
