Candidate for vice president Tim Walz suffered an awkward moment Tuesday when he told a pro-porn podcaster, “You beat you,” before quickly correcting himself.

Walz was appearing on The Dan Le Batard Show in an apparent attempt to woo young men:

As the segment was wrapping up, Le Batard said, “Coach, thank you for your time. I think you might have swayed down-the-middle Chris, here,” referring to executive producer Chris Cote.

“The porn thing,” someone off camera said before Cote gleefully added, “I’m pro-porn.”

“Hey, you do what you do, you beat you,” Walz responded, before correcting himself. “You be you is my thought.”

Walz’s answer came after Le Batard claimed Donald Trump is associated with Project 2025, “its authors have tried to ban books about slavery, they want to privatize the weather forecasts, they want to ban porn,” apparent concerns to the “young, male apathetic voter”.
