A Lenawee County Democrat who posted an unhinged rant denying the 2024 election results and labeling immigration officials as “Nazi collaborators” is doubling down.

Lenawee County Democratic Party Chairman Bill Swift called in to Talk Back Radio with Doug Spade and Mike Clement on Saturday to discuss the post, which was deleted from the party’s Facebook page shortly after it was posted last week.

Swift on Saturday also called for the death penalty for the president’s supporters.

Swift alleged the party removed the post over concerns supporters of President Donald Trump “might do violence to people in our community,” but made it clear “we as a party and I as an individual absolutely 100% support the statements that we made.”

He described the post as “outlining a very rational argument” about Trump’s inauguration and the president’s immediate move to crack down on illegal immigration.

Swift alleged Trump-supporter and the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, “performed two Hitler salutes, two Nazi salutes” during the Jan. 20 inauguration.

“This is a deliberate, very clear, unambiguous Nazi salute,” he said.

Swift then extrapolated that to build an argument that Trump and those who support him are Nazis, pointing to Trump’s social media missteps during his campaign and alleged “Nazi imagery and Nazi language” at conservative events.

Swift alleged Musk “has transformed his social media empire into a right-wing Nazi echo chamber” and likened the alleged Nazi salutes on Jan. 20 to “a transformative moment in American history.”

“What we had on Monday was a Nazi rally for our presidential inaugural,” Swift claimed, before reading excerpts from the Facebook post.

The Midwesterner highlighted the post on X last week:

“We’ve received reports of ICE operating in Lenawee County today. It should be understood that in the context of an illegitimately and unconstitutionally elected insurrectionist president who ran on Nazi rhetoric and who had what was, in effect, a Nazi rally for his presidential inauguration that the agents of ice that are operating in our county today are properly defined as Nazi collaborators.

“These Nazi collaborators are unconstitutionally operating within the border of the State of Michigan. Invalid Supreme Court rulings are just that, folks. The necessary moral preconditions for the extra constitutional removal of the President of the United States and any elected official at any level of government who professes support for or who provides material support for this man or his administration have just been met. As well, this holds true for the six supreme Court justices who ruled that presidents are above the law. We’re no longer a constitutional Republic. We are a fascist Nazi billionaire oligarchy.”

Swift told Spade: “The reason that I am making these statements out there is it’s the last dance for people that have decided that they’re going to embrace or apologize for or ignore what’s happening, this Nazi takeover of our country.”

Swift alleged Trump “committed an insurrection and tried to overthrow the government of the United States,” and labeled the 47th POTUS as a “domestic enemy and domestic terrorist,” he said.

“It’s now incumbent upon us, the people, to decide what we’re going to allow in our country, and I’m not going to allow a Nazi regime in the United States,” he said.

Swift argued that Trump’s efforts to end birthright citizenship “would be sufficient morally to support his extraconstitutional removal.”

Swift then shared his future vision of “jackbooted thugs” with ICE dragging kindergarteners from schools and churches, and likened America today to Netflix’s Nr. 24, detailing how some sabotaged Nazi Germany during World War II.

He concluded his comments by highlighting another recent post by the Lenawee County Democrats that calls for the death penalty for Trump’s supporters.

“They should be arrested, and they should be facing the death penalty,” he said. “They should be hanged by the neck until dead. I believe this is one of the few areas of the law where I believe the death penalty should be imposed.”

The death post referenced by Swift was also captured and posted to X last week.

In response to a celebratory post noting the “King’s back!” the Lenawee County Democratic Party opined that “anybody who is trying to make Donald Trump King is a traitor who should be hanged by the neck until dead.”

“We’ve been consistent about this before the election,” the comments read. “Presidents are not Kings and anybody trying to make a president a king is a domestic enemy of the Republican and a traitor who deserves the full measure of punishment as outlined in the Constitution of the United States.”
